As the old year fades like a distant shoreline, we stand at the bow of a new beginning, gazing toward horizons painted with dawn. This New Year, let us not merely count days but make our days count—like sailors who chart their course by stars, not just by waves.

旧年如远岸渐逝，我们立于新始之舷，凝望晨光渲染的地平线。新年之际，愿我们不止细数时光，更让时光有意义——如航海者依星绘图，而非随波逐浪。

In my years at sea, I’ve learned that the ocean teaches patience and resilience. Each voyage begins with a single ripple of hope, each storm weathered adds depth to our courage. As China embarks on its "15th Five-Year Plan," I see a parallel journey: a nation navigating toward innovation and harmony, much like a vessel sailing for brighter shores. For us in the maritime profession, it’s a call to steer with wisdom—to blend tradition with technology, to protect the blue waters that connect our world.

在海上岁月里，我领悟海洋教予的耐心与坚韧。每次航程始于希望微澜，每场风暴铸就勇气深痕。正值中国启航“十五五”新篇，我见一场共鸣的旅程：国家驶向创新与和谐，犹如巨轮奔赴光明彼岸。对我们海事人而言，这是智慧引航的召唤——融传统于科技，护佑连接世界的蔚蓝。

Personally, the New Year whispers of growth. It asks: Will we anchor ourselves in fear, or set sail toward curiosity? I choose the latter—to learn like the tides, ever-reaching, ever-renewing. Let this be a year where we mend sails with kindness, fuel our engines with passion, and navigate with compassion as our compass.
